Services for Eating Disorders

Welcome to Services for Eating Disorders! 

The Adult Eating Disorders Program provides services to individuals aged 18+ living in Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County. The Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program is offered to youth and families residing in Guelph-Wellington and Cambridge. Referrals for families and youth residing in Kitchener-Waterloo can be directed to WRHN @Midtown. Please note a physician referral is required for the WRHN program. Referrals to CMHA WW’s eating disorders program are completed through Here24/7. We provide assessments for individuals experiencing symptoms of disordered eating. Treatment services are provided to individuals diagnosed with an eating disorder. Services are offered at our offices in Guelph and Kitchener.

• Provide client-centred care 

• Develop a care partnership; fostering dual responsibility and accountability with those we serve 

• Complete comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based care to maximize a person’s functioning and quality of life while addressing goals/concerns 

• Provide group-based Cognitive Beahviour Therapy for Eating Disorders for adults  

• Provide Family Based Therapy and/or adjunct therapy for Child & Adolescent population 

• Support clients to access the right level of care for eating disorders based on current symptoms and needs 

• Provide equitable care that is free of prejudice, stigma and judgement
