Well at Work – Workplace Well-being Services

CMHA Waterloo Wellington knows that workplace wellbeing contributes to the overall wellbeing of the community in several interconnected ways. When organizations invest in the mental, emotional, and physical health of their employees, the positive effects often extend beyond the workplace and into the broader community.

Healthier Employees = Healthier Communities

Employees who experience good workplace wellbeing are less likely to suffer from stress-related illnesses, reducing their reliance on healthcare systems. This lessens the burden on community healthcare resources.  Companies that promote physical and mental health initiatives (such as wellness programs, fitness incentives, and mental health resources) encourage healthier habits that employees bring into their personal lives and families, promoting a culture of wellness within the community.  This can be viewed as part of your Corporate Social Responsibility Plan.

Economic Stability & Growth

Healthy, engaged employees contribute to higher productivity and, in turn, economic stability for their organizations. Successful businesses can grow, hire more employees, and invest in the local economy. When employees are well at work, they have energy left at the end of the day to visit local restaurants and businesses, contributing to economic stability.

By fostering a healthy, engaged, and supported workforce, businesses contribute to the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of the broader community, creating a more resilient, cohesive, and prosperous society.

Our workplace services are custom designed sessions for professionals in their workplace. A variety of learning opportunities are available including targeted training for all employees, for segmented groups of employees, and leadership teams.

  • Training and Education

Training and education empower staff to manage their own mental health, decrease stigma and develop skills to work with others, whether that be colleagues or customers and clients. We have a vast training catalogue with something for everyone, and a variety of delivery models including in person, webinars, and self-paced learning via our virtual learning platform.

  • Consulting Services

Businesses at the beginning of their journey to support mental health can often feel overwhelmed with understanding of what to do and where to start.  We can help!

CMHA Waterloo Wellington offers consulting services to assist organizations to integrate the International and National Standards for Psychological Health and Safety into workplaces.

Our consulting services are designed to help organizations strategically integrate best practices into their existing systems. Implementing these principles has been proven to reduce both physical and psychological injuries, offering significant returns on investment. Achieving success doesn’t require a complete revamp of your current policies; instead, we guide organizations through a phased approach that ensures seamless integration of psychological health into daily operations, making it an integral part of the culture rather than a standalone initiative. This approach not only fosters a safer workplace but also enhances employee well-being and productivity.

    We can assist with:

    • Custom training for your unique workplace
    • Data collection and interpretation of employee informant activities
    • Policy Development
    • Guidance and review of programs and services being offered
    • Psychological Health & Safety Assessments
