Who is this service for?
- This service is for children and youth who need an additional assessment to answer questions about their development.
- This service provides:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessments
- Psychology assessments
- The children and youth are 0 to 17 years of age (referred before their 18th birthday). They live in Guelph Wellington.
What supports do we offer in this service?
- We provide a specialized consultation or assessment.
- A child/youth is assessed by a team including one of more of:
- Developmental Assessment Specialist
- Developmental Pediatrician
- Psychologist
- Occupational Therapist
- Speech and Language Pathologist
- After the consultation or assessment:
- We help the family understand the outcome.
- We inform the family about resources and services.
- We help the family share information with community partners such as therapists, the child care program, or the school.
How do I access this service?
- Talk to your child’s/youth’s primary care provider (Physician, Pediatrician, Nurse Practitioner).
- If someone at CMHA WW already works with your child/youth, talk to that person.
