Waterloo Wellington Neighbours: Connecting Older Adults to Community Supports

The Waterloo Wellington Neighbours Program aims to educate local community members to be change-makers by helping to identify vulnerable and at-risk older adults.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington and local partners, with funding from the United Way Waterloo Region, are offering education sessions for community members, businesses and service providers. The sessions will take place virtually and will take approximately 1 hour.

In this program, participants will learn how to identify at-risk and vulnerable older adults, and how to connect older adults to community supports by a simple phone call.  We will cover topics of risk, including forms of elder abuse.
