CMHA celebrates National Volunteer Week
Apr 22, 2019
CMHA Waterloo Wellington volunteers play a crucial role in our organization and our community. Without the dedication of volunteers, many programs offered by our branch would not be possible.
That’s why from April 7-13, CMHA WW joins organizations across the country in celebrating Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week.
Volunteering can take many forms. At CMHAs across the country, volunteers are found working on special projects or programs, within fundraising activities such as Run for Women, or serving on local boards. All of these activities help improve quality of life for individuals and families who are affected by mental health issues.
At CMHA WW, volunteers help by offering support, volunteering to drive to appointments, and volunteering at special events.
From all of us at CMHA WW, thank you to the amazing volunteers we work with every day. We truly appreciate your dedication in helping us work towards good mental health for all. We will be sharing blog posts all week from our volunteers so you can learn about the amazing work they do!
