World Suicide Prevention Day – September 10th
Sep 7, 2022
September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD). Organized annually by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) this day represents a global commitment to focus attention on suicide prevention.
The theme for this year’s event is Creating Hope Through Action. Locally the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington and the Here4hope project are working to encourage dialogue that decreases stigma, promotes hope and let’s everyone in the community know there is a role for them to play in preventing suicide.
What can you do?
