Youth Mental Health and Justice Court Support
Who is this service for?
This service is for youth with:
- Mental health difficulties that led to a criminal charge, and
- Current criminal court matters
The youth are 12 to 17 years old (referred before their 18th birthday). They live in Guelph Wellington.
What supports do we offer in this service?
- This is a voluntary service.
- We help a youth and family with the justice system.
- We help them connect with the court and a lawyer.
- We help them through the legal process.
- We connect a youth with mental health services and other community resources as needed.

If you are concerned about your youth and the legal system, but there is not currently a criminal charge, you can:
- Attend a Single Session at CMHA WW.
- A Single Session is an opportunity for a child/youth (6 to 17 years of age) to meet once with a Mental Health Clinician to explore the need for services.
- In Guelph
- Attend the Children’s Walk-In Service for a Single Session.
- The Walk-In Service is every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- The location is the CMHA WW office at 737 Woolwich Street, Guelph.
- In the County

- The Single Session will be at a CMHA WW office in the County.
