The Run for Women – Waterloo is more than just a race—it’s a powerful movement to support women’s mental health in our community. Every step you take helps ensure that women and their families have access to the care, support, and resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
When you participate, you’re sending a clear message:

Event Schedule
- 8:00 a.m. – Suggested Arrival
- 8:30 a.m. – 1K Little Steps
- 8:50 a.m. – Welcome & Warm-Up
- 9:15 a.m. – 10K Start
- 9:30 a.m. – 5K Start
Why Your Participation Matters
Funds raised through the Run for Women directly support CMHA Waterloo Wellington programs, helping provide life-changing mental health services—quickly, compassionately, and locally.

💚 Women in Crisis
It takes courage to ask for help. Women access crisis support for reasons such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and more.
CMHA’s crisis team provides:
- Immediate support and assessment
- Navigation to the right services
- Community-based care that can reduce hospital or police involvement
💚 Women with Eating Disorders
Participants receive comprehensive, ongoing care including:
- Assessment with a nurse practitioner, dietitian, and therapist
- Structured recovery plans
- Group-based treatment for adults
💚 Early Psychosis Support
Early intervention changes lives. This program offers:
- Full medical and psychiatric assessment
- Personalized treatment plans (therapy, medication, group support)
- Family education and daily living support
The goal: Help women and their families find balance, stability, and a path toward recovery.

- 1 in 4 women will face depression in their lifetime
