In this edition of our Mental Health Check-up with the Mike Farwell show on 570 News, CEO Helen Fishburn talks about World Homelessness Day and the recent Ontario government throne speech.

The Ontario government recently laid out its priorities during the throne speech, which included pandemic response, increasing vaccination rates of Ontarians, expanding and improving care in long-term care homes and addressing hospital capacity and staffing. However, the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) is disappointed that the throne speech did not adequately emphasize the need to support the community health and addictions sector.
