A nurturing and supportive relationship is the most important protective factor for children to develop resilience, and do well despite experiencing significant adversity. Service providers play a key role in helping children and their families to develop strong relationships. In this webinar, Dr. Jean Clinton will explore the concept of resilience, the importance of relationships in building resilience, and what you can do to promote personal and community resilience. Following Dr. Clinton’s keynote, we will hear from a local physician, principal and two outreach workers about how they use their understanding of ACEs and resilience to inform their work with children and their families. The webinar will conclude with an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions.
We gratefully acknowledge United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin and the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction for providing funding for this webinar.
Register early. Priority registration will be given to residents of Guelph & Wellington County until November 20, 2020.
