This week we held our staff appreciation luncheon to recognize the great work our staff do each and every day. We had a record number of nominations with a wide range of individuals and services recognized for their dedication to clients, fellow staff and the organizational performance as a whole. We also acknowledged staff with over 25 years with the organization for their longstanding service and commitment to CMHA WW.

We give out three awards annually to staff:

Atlas Award

The Atlas Award is a new award to be presented annually to a CMHA staff member who is not involved in direct service, but supports the function of the organization as a whole.

The winner is:  Alicia Murray

“Her commitment, and proactive approach to her work has greatly enhanced the HIM Specialist role at CMHA WW. Regardless of what new program/initiative is being proposed, we can depend on her to facilitate a smooth integration to CMHA WW core service infrastructure. She has been pivotal in the ongoing development of SGS Clinical Intake and such a collaborative partner in problem solving issues across the system to either prevent or minimize service disruption to clients and their families. Thank you Alicia for helping us build such a sound infrastructure for SGS.”

Service Excellence Award

The Service Excellence Award is presented annually to a CMHA service staff member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the mission and values of the agency by providing a high quality of service delivery and for contributions beyond those expected of the regular position.

The winner is:  Sharon Fox, Support Coordinator

“She has been a driving force in ensuring adult intensive services are targeting the most in need by providing consultation training on the locus and guidance to the adult intensive services operations committee. Sharon is exceptional at warmly supporting clients while assessing their needs. She has a keen ability to connect people to the most appropriate service in a timely way. She is meticulous in compiling and communicating their story.”

We Are More Award

The We are More Award is presented annually to a CMHA staff member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to contributions made in the greater community for the enhancement and awareness of Mental Health initiatives.

The winner is: Victoria Peters, Manager IMPACT and Mental Health and Justice

“Victoria has demonstrated excellent leadership, she is unfailingly supportive of staff, Victoria has a strong knowledge base of wellness and leads according to a strong set of principles that support staff wellness. Victoria’s valuable employment history has helped her to understand the unique pressures and needs of working directly with law enforcement and her support has led to stronger initiatives to support mental health wellness among our first responders.”
