The Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington is committed to improving client care. From November 18-21st, CMHA WW will be participating in the Accreditation Canada evaluation. Accreditation is a process that enables us to elevate and improve the quality and safety of our services through peer review and self-assessment. Accreditation is a key tool to demonstrate CMHA WW’s accountability and ongoing commitment to achieve better care and continuous quality improvement for our clients and families.
Accreditation Canada, an internationally-recognized health-care accreditation body, will carry out the assessment of our organization. The accreditation process involves visits from health care professionals representing Accreditation Canada, who speak with staff, volunteers, clients, and families to get a sense of the care practices within our organization.
The last accreditation for CMHA WW took place in 2015, where we received Accredited with Commendation, this means we surpassed the fundamental requirements of the accreditation program and were commended for our commitment to quality improvement.
We will be eager to share our accreditation standing when we receive our results.
